Welcome to Hunters Retreat Holidays

Hunters Retreat is set in 17 acres of private land, offering peace and tranquility in a rural atmosphere, renovated and furnished to a very high standard.

There are 2 swimming pools (one for each gite, please note that pools available from end of May until end of September outside of these dates at owners discretion), fishing pool, and for the more energetic a tennis court,full size pool table, bikes, table tennis, badmington, boules and plenty of space for football, cricket and rounders.  There is also a  childrens play area.  A good selection of DVDs etc can be supplied, these and all of the above facilities are COMPLIMENTARY!  Bedlinen is also included in the price but please bring your own towels.  If needed highchairs and cots can be provided at no charge.

Hunters Retreat is in a small hamlet "Le Claray" 4kms from the picturesque village of St Aubin des Chateaux, which has all the amenities you would want; Mini Market, bar, chemist, post office, bakers, butchers, brocante to browse in, there is also an equestrian centre nearby for the more adventerous.  Just 5 minutes from Le Claray is a superb lake - Hunaudiere, with a great creperie and bar so that you can sit by the lake with a crepe and a beer and just relax.

The historic town of Chateaubriant is just 12 kms away, Nantes, Redon are approximately 45mins drive away.  The coast - La Baule etc, is approximately 1 hour away.
